Mountain Cat. believes that all food can be 'special' and that you should sample what the region has to offer with regards to the traditional fare. Not surprisingly the region teems with culture. Visitors cannot fail to enjoy the rich tapestry of family centered life involving local customs and characters. Locals are nourished by a unique cuisine influenced by many peoples and embracing local produce.  Delectable paellas,  legendry tapas,  sea fare and wild game, are washed down with famous local wines.

Simon, one of your hosts can not eat gluten. This has never impaired his lust for outdoor activities as he has always eaten well and carefully. Mountain Cat. prides itself in being able to cater for a number of different food requirements. Please let us know your preferences on booking.

Catalonia is renowned for it's use of fresh seasonal vegetables, fish and meats with no colourings or additives and you really can 'taste the difference!' Combine that with the famous wines of the region and you will realise why you are hard pushed to find a fast food outlet for miles around. We will only buy local produce locally and we love our food!

If time permits, whilst on your stay you should really aim to attend a festival (fiesta) where food is always important. Although it has to be said that some people do not rate snails as edible!
Sample the real Catalonia  and the warmth and hospitality of its people.  The atmosphere really rocks!
